We thought that nearly half a century dedicated to providing person-centered care in a warm and trusted environment was worth congratulating, so on August 15th, we will be celebrating Fraserview's 45th Anniversary!
In 1958, Steve and Audrey Baron ran a 6 person home for seniors in Winnipeg called Stradbrook, which cultivated their desire to help and serve the elderly. In 1970, Steve and Audrey made that dream a reality when they opened Fraserview Intermediate Care -- now home to over 100 residents and employing over 70 staff. Today, Fraserview Intermediate Care's legacy has been carried on by the family -- the children and grandchildren. They continue to extend their family values of kindness, respect, and loving care to their residents to this day. Since its establishment, the caretakers and administrators have strived to achieve the highest level of excellence while creating a safe and comfortable home. Thanks to a great team, we can look forward to many more years of genuine service and support for the residents.
Our event will be a Western-themed barbecue held in our garden courtyards, so bring out your finest plaid shirts, denim pants, cowboy boots, and hats! Here is a quick clip from last year’s Mardi Gras themed anniversary barbecue to give you an idea of what you can expect. See you there!
